Salary: The salary range for this position is $69,591.89 to $ for Schedule A, and $69,591.89 to $ for Schedule
B. For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range. For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater. Judiciary employees hired prior to June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule
A. Newly hired individuals, and Judiciary employees hired on or after June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule

The New Jersey Judiciary, Information Technology Office, is seeking a versatile and skilled developer to join our Application Services unit. We are looking for an individual with the experience and ability to develop, maintain, and support applications across multiple programming languages and platforms, which include but not limited to Enterprise JAVA, AWS, Python, Node.
JS, React, PEGA, IBM Web Sphere, SOAP, APIs, XML, JSON, et al. This role provides an exciting opportunity to further enhance skills in cutting-edge technologies and design robust solutions that modernize our operations.
Our digital transformation initiative aims to automate and modernize various case management and mainframe workloads, positioning the New Jersey Judiciary to streamline operations, reduce errors, and minimize manual processes. We are in search of a developer capable of dissecting complex business processes, designing and proposing innovative solutions, and implementing intuitive automated systems. The selected candidate will be expected to work in a collaborative team-oriented environment and provide problem solving and innovative thinking.
In addition to core development skills, we value experience in SCRUM methodology, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Disaster Recovery, Application Performance Monitoring, Dev Ops, CI/CD pipelines, and Application Portfolio Management. It would also be preferable if the selected candidate has the relevant industry certification(s) in any of the development technologies.

Remote WorkThe Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 3 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, in addition to installing a multifactor authentication app on your phone or tablet, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.
Responsibilities- Design, Develop and Support web applications using PEGA, Java or AWS technologies, through the entire software development life cycle (requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, deployment and maintenance).
- Assist in re-engineering efforts to migrate from legacy technology to new technology.
- Develop cloud-based solutions using a range of programming languages such as Node.
JS, Python, among others, according to project requirements. - Build and optimize cloud service workflows, scripts, and implement advanced services like text extraction and image recognition.
- Design, develop, and support robust web applications within enterprise environments.
- Collaborate with business architects, system architects, QA analysts, and end users to enhance Judiciary enterprise applications.
- Draft technical specifications and configure application rules based on detailed use case specifications.
