Senior Cloud System Architect

Senior Cloud System Architect opportunity with Glia Cell Technologies supporting a U.S. Government contract. This full-time role involves providing technical expertise to sustain critical mission-related software and systems.

• Work with cloud technologies to support government systems and services
• Develop and implement cloud infrastructure and deployment strategies
• Collaborate with Architecture and Capacity Engineering teams; act as the technical point of contact between the customer and internal teams
• Maintain currency of documentation and knowledge bases; monitor and respond to chat rooms
• Provide Tier I/II support and assist users with cloud resources
• Plan and execute deployments to production, staging, and test environments; ensure smooth handoffs and minimal downtime
• Automate cloud infrastructures and adopt a Dev Ops approach for Linux and Windows workloads
• Identify agile, scalable infrastructure solutions and select appropriate cloud services
• Prepare full documentation of cloud infrastructure for handoff to application teams

• Possess an active or rein-statable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance (in-scope poly within 7 years)
• U.S. Citizenship
• 9+ years of related work experience and a Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field; or an additional four years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
• Strong knowledge of cloud solutions (AWS, Open Stack, Microsoft Azure) and related tools (Open Stack, Eucalyptus, Open Shift, Kubernetes)
• Active mid-level or advanced cloud certification (AWS, Azure, Open Stack)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong communication skills
• Experience with Terraform, Linux, and Windows workloads; automation with Cloud Formation, Ops Works, Ansible, Chef, Docker
• Experience scripting with Perl, Python, or Ruby

The salary range for this full-time position is $170,000 to $260,000. The range reflects minimum and maximum target salaries across projects and may vary by experience and certifications.
