We’re looking for a self-starter to work both as part of a team and on individual assignments in an environment of customer mission delivery, integrity, and communications. This role supports cloud experience, certifications, and the ability to operate in large environments as part of a large, multi-tenant cloud platform/enterprise and migrating/expanding/automating it.

As a Principal Cloud Developer
, your work will be impactful to the mission of our federal customers. You will play a crucial role by:

• Designing, architecting, deploying, and maintaining cloud solutions
• Maintaining the integrity and security of systems
• Maintaining documentation
• Supporting and developing automation
• Developing in languages such as Bash, Power Shell, Python
• Maintaining/enhancing knowledge of AWS cloud services
• Monitoring and tuning cloud systems for optimum performance
• Collaborating across teams and with external customer groups to develop strategy, design solutions, and advise implementation teams during infrastructure buildouts
• Handling escalations; making assessments, recommendations, or providing solutions to resolve issues
• Composing and maintaining standard operating procedures, work instructions, knowledge articles, etc.

Bring your engineering expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Principal Cloud Developer must have:

• Technical Training, Certificate, or Degree required;
  Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, Computer Engineering or relevant field strongly preferred
• Principal Level: 5+ years of related experience with AWS cloud computing required; 7+ years of total IT experience strongly preferred

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in at least one of the following languages:
  Bash, Power Shell, or Python
• Development background in Node.
  
  JS and React.
  
  JS
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and event-driven architecture
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions
• Design and implement data processing and integration solutions using ETL tools
• Experience with applications using serverless architecture and/or containerization
• Excellent communication skills with experience presenting to diverse audiences at various organizational levels

Preferred

Skills:

• Linux OS experience

Salary Range: The likely salary range for this position is $128,039 - $173,229. This is not a guarantee of compensation. Salary will be based on experience, location, and contractual requirements and could fall outside this range.
