What You’ll Do- You’ll play a central role in architecting and leading Security Master implementations
, managing, validating, and distributing critical reference data across systems and teams. - Lead and architect end-to-end MDM and Security Master frameworks for securities, clients, legal entities, and complex financial instruments
- Configure, customize, and enhance MDM platforms such as Golden Source, Markit EDM, S&P EDM, AIM, Alveo, or Sim Corp
- Integrate and normalize market data from multiple vendors, leveraging APIs and deep knowledge of vendor data structures
- Define and implement Golden Record strategies, including vendor consolidation, survivorship rules, and data merging logic
- Establish and maintain data lineage, deduplication, version control, and audit-ready data quality standards
- Collaborate closely with portfolio management, risk, operations, compliance, and trading teams to gather requirements and align solutions
- Design data validation, enrichment, reconciliation, and exception handling workflows
- Ensure Security Master data supports regulatory and compliance use cases, including trade monitoring, restricted lists, and employee disclosures
- Partner with IT and architecture teams to ensure seamless integration with OMS, PMS, risk, and reporting platforms
- Monitor data quality issues, drive resolution, and support ongoing governance and regulatory compliance
- Act as a subject matter expert for Security Master data and contribute to enterprise data governance strategies
- You’re a Security Master veteran with hands-on experience leading or architecting Security Master implementations in complex financial environments.
- You combine strategic thinking with technical proficiency and thrive in cross-functional teams.
- Strong experience managing Security Master data within asset or investment management organizations
- Deep understanding of Golden Record concepts and merging disparate vendor data into a single authoritative instrument record
- Hands-on expertise with MDM platforms such as Golden Source, Markit EDM, S&P EDM, AIM, Alveo, or Sim Corp
- Strong fluency with market data vendors, their data models, and APIs
- Expert knowledge of financial instruments (Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, etc.) and security identifiers (
ISIN
, CUSIP
, SEDOL
, FIGI
) - Understanding of SEC/FINRA regulatory contexts and the role of reference data in compliance and surveillance (e.g., trade monitoring, restricted lists, and employee disclosures)
- Familiarity with APIs, ETL pipelines, and scripting (e.g., Python or SQL) for data integration and transformation
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across business, compliance, and technology teams
- Experience working with downstream systems such as OMS, PMS, risk systems, and reporting platforms
- Previous experience at an MDM product vendor or implementing MDM tools internally is a plus
- Proven ability to translate complex business and regulatory requirements into structured, scalable data solutions
- Strong documentation and stakeholder engagement skills
Salary range: $69,000 - $115,000 annually, with final compensation determined by your qualifications, expertise, experience, and the role's scope.
LocationThis is a fully remote position
; however, candidates must be based in regions that align with the Pacific,
Central, or Eastern U.S. time zones to ensure effective collaboration with client and team schedules.
