IT Consultant, Systems Engineer
Overview
Everlaw is looking for a highly motivated Atlassian Systems Engineer to join our growing IT team. The Atlassian Systems Engineer reports to the Director, Corporate IT. As a Systems Engineer, you ll greatly impact the day-to-day experience of our employees. You’ll draw on your technical aptitude, logical thought process, attention to detail, and project management skills to drive change through implementation of technology platforms.
You’ll lead projects successfully with the support of your teammates.
You’ll set your own bar by being self-driven, naturally curious, and highly logical—taking on complex problems with a rigorous approach and delivering clear solutions. You’ll use your exceptional collaboration and egoless communication skills to work across teams to discover opportunities and implement solutions accordingly. This is a full-time, exempt position based in our Oakland office with a hybrid work schedule: in office M/W/Th with the option to work from home on Tu/Fr.
Getting started- We want you to feel like part of the team early on. Our onboarding process will integrate you into the company with informative sessions on our product, policies, processes, and team structure and goals.
- We’re excited for you to learn, grow, and contribute right away. We trust that you’ll bring experience and knowledge that will uplift and uplevel the team, but we don’t expect you to know everything on Day 1.
- Use your egoless communication skills to collaborate with your teammates to solve complex IT projects. You’ll partner with the security engineering, operations, and employee experience team to ensure IT infrastructure is supporting the needs of the business and is secure.
- Develop an understanding of our current Atlassian platform.
- Assess our current IT initiatives and determine opportunities for contribution.
- Roll out new IT tools and workflows with a high level of attention to detail.
- Leverage your technical breadth to help maintain, automate, and improve our IT infrastructure.
- Develop strong relationships with all teams at Everlaw to collaborate on IT initiatives.
- You have at least 3 years of experience in supporting Atlassian Cloud infrastructure, most notably Jira and Confluence.
- You have experience building custom automations to/from Jira utilizing APIs and iPaaS workflow utilities (Okta Workflows, Trelica, Zapier, Workato, etc).
- You have experience administering access and privileges through an SSO/IdP solution (Okta, One Login, etc).
- You have a strong interest in learning to administer other IT-owned platforms, such as MDMs, EDRs, AI solutions, office networks, and AV equipment.
- You are proactive, constantly assessing the configuration of IT platforms and making recommendations on how they can be improved.
- You are incredibly organized, process-driven, and capable of anticipating and mitigating friction points in a fast-paced environment collaborating cross-functionally to drive an enjoyable employee experience. You enjoy streamlining processes and creating automation of IT systems.
- You are a team player, willing to help other IT members resolve problems when needed.
