Description:
The primary role of the Contract Web Developer is to maintain CCK’s website and enhance our overall online presence.
Responsibilities:Website Development & Maintenance
- Maintain, update, and improve the CCK Word Press website, including content updates, bug fixes, and performance enhancements.
- Implement site revisions, enhancements, and UX/UI improvements in partnership with the Marketing team.
- Manage CMS content publishing, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and proper placement.
- Monitor and troubleshoot website functionality issues (including forms, display, and integrations).
- Support website migrations, updates, and plugin management as required.
- Maintain and renew domain registrations.
- Implement SEO best practices and recommendations, focusing on on-page optimization and technical SEO updates.
- Monitor SEO performance and SERP rankings using tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, and SEMrush.
- Collaborate with third-party SEO consultants to implement and maintain strategic SEO initiatives.
- Optimize landing pages and user funnels to improve conversion performance.
- Support A/B and multivariate testing initiatives.
- Support the execution and tracking of digital marketing campaigns across various channels (e.g., email, paid search, landing pages).
- Assist with campaign tracking, reporting, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with vendors and consultants to ensure proper website and tool integrations.
- Stay current on web development best practices, emerging technologies, and usability standards.
- 3–5 years of experience in web development, website management, or a closely related role.
- Hands‑on experience managing and maintaining Word Press websites, including WP Engine environments.
- Strong working knowledge of core web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP (within a Word Press context).
- Experience with at least one modern JavaScript framework (e.g., React or Svelte).
- Proven experience implementing SEO/SEM best practices from both a web and technical perspective.
- Familiarity with website analytics tools (Google Analytics, Search Console) to support reporting and optimization efforts.
- Experience using Excel (or similar tools) to manage and analyze large data sets, such as incoming leads by campaign, usage metrics, and performance tracking.
- Demonstrated experience optimizing landing pages, user flows, and conversion paths to improve performance and usability.
- Hands‑on experience running or supporting A/B and multivariate testing, including implementing test variations and evaluating results.
- Experience supporting digital marketing campaigns from a technical or web implementation standpoint.
- Experience troubleshooting website issues including forms, integrations, performance, and cross‑browser compatibility.
- Familiarity with third‑party APIs and marketing technology integrations.
- Experience launching or migrating Word Press websites.
- Experience working with SEO tools such as SEMrush.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and collaborate cross‑functionally in a remote environment.
Bachelor’s degree combined with 3-5 years of experience in web development and/or web management.
Other Details:This is a contract position (1099 Employee) running from March through September 2026.
Target pay rate is $45 - $55 per hour, based on experience.
Contractor must provide their own laptop.
This position is remote in the following states: CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, LA, ME, MA, NJ, NC, OH, RI, SC, TX, UT, VA.
