Help Shape the Future of Automated Supply Chains

Velociti is expanding its leadership in automation-enabled supply chain solutions, and we’re seeking a Supply Chain Technology Solutions Principal to help drive that evolution. This role is ideal for a subject matter expert who combines deep technical knowledge with a consultative mindset and a passion for helping customers adopt innovative, high-impact technologies.

You will serve as a strategic resource to our Sales and Account Executive teams, helping customers evaluate, design, and adopt automation and logistics optimization strategies while strengthening Velociti’s technology partnerships and go-to-market capabilities.

About the Role

The Supply Chain Technology Solutions Principal is responsible for advancing Velociti’s capabilities in automation, robotics, and technology-enabled supply chain solutions
. This position blends technical expertise, market research, and partner collaboration to ensure Velociti remains at the forefront of emerging technologies that improve operational efficiency and customer outcomes.

This position reports to the SVP, Product & Solution Architecture and is based onsite in Riverside, MO
, where in-person collaboration is a key part of success. While the role is not remote, occasional work-from-home flexibility is available with prior coordination and approval.

Key Responsibilities Subject Matter Expertise and Sales Enablement
  • Serve as Velociti’s in-house expert on automation-driven supply chain and automotive-enabled solutions, with a focus on customer use cases and business outcomes
  • Act as a consultative partner to Account Executives by leading discovery discussions and aligning customer challenges with appropriate automation strategies
  • Support customer engagements by providing industry insight, solution recommendations, and technology alignment guidance
  • Deliver internal training and knowledge-sharing sessions to upskill Sales and Operations teams
Market Research and Technology Partnerships
  • Research emerging automation technologies, platforms, and supply chain solutions to identify partnership opportunities
  • Collaborate with technology partners and internal engineering teams to ensure proposed solutions align with customer needs and Velociti’s service capabilities
  • Evaluate vendors and recommend strategic alliances aligned with Velociti’s service delivery model
Solution Development and Pre-Sales Support
  • Collaborate with Solution Engineers and internal teams to define high-level solution concepts and clarify customer requirements
  • Support pre-sales activities by validating solution fit, defining scope assumptions, and articulating value propositions
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, value-driven narratives for customers and internal stakeholders
  • Contribute solution insights, use cases, and customer success narratives to sales enablement and go-to-market materials
Collaboration and Continuous Improvement
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and Engineering teams to ensure solutions are feasible, scalable, and aligned with delivery capabilities
  • Provide feedback on technology trends and partner performance to inform business strategy
  • Represent Velociti at trade shows, conferences, and industry forums
Key Performance Metrics
  • Effective enablement of Sales teams through training, consultation, and solution support
  • Growth and strength of technology partnerships and vendor relationships
  • Increased pipeline and revenue tied to automation and supply chain technology opportunities

    Positive customer and internal stakeholder feedback on subject matter guidance
  • Demonstrated contributions to innovation and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications and Competencies
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related technical field
  • Seven or more years of experience in supply chain technology, logistics automation, or robotics integration
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), robotics platforms, and automation technologies
  • Proven ability to translate technical solutions into business value
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and educate across all organizational levels
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Proficiency with CRM and project management tools such as Salesforce, , or similar platforms
Work Environment and

Physical Requirements
  • Primarily office-based work using computers and office equipment
  • Requires sitting for extended periods and frequent use of communication tools
  • Occasional standing, walking, or moving between offices
  • Standard business hours Monday through Friday, with occasional extended hours for initiatives, projects, or partner meetings
