This position will be responsible for the development and deployment of Risk Engineering specialized practices for the Technology and Cyber Liability Line of Business, encompassing both cybersecurity and technology risk disciplines. This includes but is not limited to strategic planning, resource management, technical support, evaluation, and business development. The role may require future managerial duties for a staff of dedicated specialized Risk Engineering Consultants.

Completion of field and virtual survey work on insured operations that demand the advanced technical skillsets will also be required. Identification of Risk Engineering recommendations, solutions, and opportunities for impactful service delivery will be a key skillset for this position.

Responsibilities:

The Manager Technology & Cyber Risk Engineering must drive the following business activities that support the needs of the organization.

Responsibilities may include:
* ** Technical Acumen** – Demonstrated expertise in Technology Risk, Cyber Security, and related liability disciplines, with strong knowledge of core cyber and technology insurance coverages and perils. Responsible for managing the Cyber & Technology Liability line for all Risk Engineering services, including training, collateral development, and technical support for internal partners and external customers. Must maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry best practices in cybersecurity, IT resilience, cloud risk, and liability risk transfer.
* ** Risk Engineering Staff Development** – Strengthen Technology and Cyber expertise across Risk Services by providing technical leadership and support to Risk Engineering Consultants. Serve as the subject matter expert through continued professional development and deliver training, mentoring, and technical guidance aligned with Underwriting needs. Assess, develop, and maintain technical content and resource materials. Support partners including Underwriting, Claims, Agents, and Insureds.

Complete field surveys for the largest and most complex accounts when needed. Assist Underwriting sales initiatives, including attendance and support at sales presentations.
* ** Segment Liaison** – Regularly communicate and collaborate with Cyber and Technology business partners and vendors to create a strong and credible relationship. Communicate information to Risk Services to ensure that they understand and act upon key initiatives and objectives.
* ** Training** – Develop and implement key training initiatives for all products and services required by Technology and Cyber business partners. Enhance current state including technical manuals, training materials, and overall field support to develop and maintain technical information as required.  Work in conjunction with the Training Director to elevate training programs across disciplines.
* ** Other (when applicable) i.e. Technical Resource, Special Projects, etc.**- Plan, organize, and manage resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives. Develop, implement, and evaluate project plan(s) for special projects as assigned. Monitor progress and take corrective action when necessary.

* Qualifications:

*** Bachelor or Master degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Risk Management, or a related field.
* 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity and/or technology risk management, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.
* Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or CPCU with a cyber or technology risk focus.
* Familiarity with insurance operations, policy administration systems, and regulatory compliance.
* Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Strong communication and consultative skills, with the ability to translate technical findings into actionable insights.
