Leadership in Data Science:
Proven experience in leading data science teams, including managing project workflows, providing technical guidance, and mentoring team members.

Applied Machine Learning and MLOps:
Deep understanding of machine learning model development and MLOps practices, with a focus on deploying models that support product objectives.

Programming and Tools:
Expertise in Python, including libraries such as Pandas, Num Py, PySpark, and deep learning frameworks. Experience with Databricks and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines is preferred.

Feature Engineering and Data Strategy:
Strong ability to guide feature engineering and data strategy efforts, enhancing model accuracy and effectiveness.

Strategic Communication and Stakeholder Management:
Ability to communicate complex data science concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, aligning project outcomes with business goals.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
Commitment to thorough documentation practices and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing within the team.

5+ years of experience in a data science or machine learning role, with at least 3 years of leadership or management experience overseeing data science teams and projects.

Bachelor s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.

Master s degree or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field, with a proven track record of success in managing complex machine learning projects and mentoring a team of data scientists.

IN OFFICE REQUIREMENT: Relias values collaboration and wants to ensure that our team members have opportunities to work with their teams regularly for professional development opportunities. Our flexible hybrid work environment requires that you live in the state of North Carolina, within a commutable distance to our office (~1-hour commute). You would be expected to work in our Morrisville, NC Headquarters approximately 40 days/quarter.
