Job Description
Develops and programs integrated software algorithms to structure, analyze and leverage structured and unstructured data in product and systems applications. Works with large-scale computing frameworks, data analysis systems, and modeling environments. Uses machine learning and statistical modeling techniques to improve product and system performance, data management, quality, and accuracy. Formulates descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive insights/algorithms and translates technical specifications into code.
Applies, optimizes and scales deep learning technologies to enable computers to visualize, learn and respond to complex situations. Documents procedures for installation and maintenance, completes programming, performs testing and debugging, and defines and monitors performance metrics. Contributes to the success of HPE by translating customer requirements and industry trends into AI/ML products, solutions, and systems improvement projects.
Responsibilities
- Improve integrations:
Develop and improve existing integrations between different open-source ML & AI tools—like MLFlow, OpenWebUI, and Spark—on a proprietary AI software platform built on top of Kubernetes. Extend features to behave consistently across all integrated applications. - New integrations:
With product manager guidance, research how emerging open-source AI tools can be integrated into our Kubernetes stack. - Be our first customer:
Build applications composed of open-source tools in our stack to discover friction points and provide ergonomics and integrations feedback. - Cross-collaboration:
Work across multiple teams to brainstorm, design, and develop solutions to business problems. - Champion quality:
Collaborate with engineering managers to prioritize integrations and ensure we stay on track in capacity planning. - Lead:
May lead larger integration efforts and provide updates to team leadership on progress and challenges.
- Kubernetes experience
- Strong computer networking skills—HTTP, TLS
- Bachelors or greater in CS or a related field and 2 years experience OR 7 years of experience
- A year of professional experience in a backend programming language (preferably Go or Python)
- Great communicator: written and verbal; much of our communication is written and asynchronous
- Experience building scripts and workflows around LLMs
- Familiarity with AI tooling on Kubernetes. One or more of:
Lang Chain, Lang Flow, Spark, Airflow, Kubeflow, MLFlow, KServe, Ray
- Experience building RAGs
- Experience using or building MCP servers
- 2+ years technical leadership experience

Annual Salary USD 137,. Salary reflects base pay; variable incentives may also be offered.
