Overview
On behalf of our client, Dice Talent Solutions is seeking an SAP Business One (B1) Techno-Functional Consultant to lead the hands-on migration of one B1 instance into a second existing B1 instance to create a single unified instance.
This contract position, which has a target duration of 6 months, requires the first month to be 100% on-site in Lenexa, KS. After the first month, a hybrid or potentially fully remote work arrangement is available.
The engagement will be highly collaborative from a business and decision-making perspective, with leadership actively involved in defining requirements and evaluating tradeoffs related to ERP structure, data migration, and operational workflows; however, the consultant will be responsible for translating those decisions into a functioning ERP environment and personally executing the technical consolidation.
This successful candidate will utilize their expert knowledge of SAP B1, data conversion and quality control best practices to work directly with the Company’s CFO, General Manager, internal IT resources, and financial sponsor to execute migration and consolidation. The consultant will be expected to own discovery, gap analysis, roadmap, and technical execution.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the end-to-end consolidation of two SAP Business One instances into a single instance
- Assess and document differences in:
- Chart of accounts
- Item masters
- Business partners
- BOMs
- Warehouses
- Tax and compliance settings
- User roles and authorizations
- Design and implement a target-state ERP structure
- Perform data mapping, cleansing, and migration
- Configure SAP B1 directly (no pure project management profiles)
- Develop and execute cutover and go-live plans
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration or data integrity issues
- Collaborate with internal finance, operations, and IT stakeholders
- Minimize business disruption during transition
- Deep expertise in SAP B1
- Proven experience consolidating or merging SAP B1 environments
- Strong hands-on technical capability:
- SAP B1 configuration
- Data migration tools
- SQL
- Experience with Produmax and SPS Commerce
- Experience working directly with:
- Finance and accounting teams
- Manufacturing / inventory environments
- Ability to execute independently without outsourcing core work
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Able to work full-time on-site in Lenexa, KS
