The BI Developer III is responsible for leading and developing complex data model designs for business intelligence tools.  This role also serves as mentor to colleagues by sharing knowledge and skillsets that are pertinent to a successful analytics team.  The individual will lead the conversation of customer requests into technical requirements, conduct hands-on analysis, and ensure deliverable commitments are met.  You will work with operational teams on developing reporting/dashboard solutions and analyses that meet the questions and needs of the customer.

This position will lead projects to enable process improvement, new product adoption, and other enhancements.  Works directly with internal clients to research and identify operational business requirements with sufficient detail and clarity to allow the development of the data or reporting solution needed.

** Role qualifications:
*** Bachelor’s degree (preferably Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Management, or equivalent Certifications)
* 5+ years of related experience scripting and data manipulation languages such as SQL and Python.
* 5+ years of experience and proficiency in automating reporting and building visualizations and some administrative exposure in tools such as IBM Cognos, AWS Quick Sight, Power BI, Tableau, or other related BI tools with preference to Quick Sight and Power BI.
* 3+ years of data modeling within a business intelligence tool
* Proficiency in relational databases; design, structure, data associations, and query language.
* Experience in conducting root cause analysis and recommend corrections to data issues reported by customers or exceptions reports.
* -Strong problem-solving skills and able to execute a thoughtful process for figuring out technical and non-technical challenges
* Possess critical thinking skills to analyze information to better understand the current situation, synthesize findings and clearly communicate results
* Experience in cross-examination of multiple data sources to provide actionable insights and feedback.
