PositionSummary
The Cloud Administrator plays a critical role in ensuring GT Independence’s cloud environments are secure, reliable, and optimized to support our rapidly expanding, technology‑enabled services. You will manage day‑to‑day cloud operations, implement security best practices, strengthen system resilience, and support automation efforts that keep GT’s infrastructure running smoothly across all states and programs.

Key Responsibilities Cloud Infrastructure & Operations- Manage GT’s cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), including computer resources, storage, virtual networks, load balancers, and databases.
- Ensure cloud services are configured for high availability, scalability, and optimal performance.
- Monitor system health, service uptime, capacity, and cloud alerts, responding proactively to issues.
- Administer identity and access management (IAM), enforcing least‑privilege and secure access across all environments.
- Implement, monitor, and maintain security controls including encryption, firewalls, network segmentation, MFA, and threat detection.
- Partner with Compliance and Security teams to support HIPAA, SOC 2, Medicaid, and state‑specific program requirements.
- Enforce cloud governance standards, including tagging, cost controls, and resource lifecycle policies.
- Automate routine cloud tasks using tools such as Power Shell, Bash, Python, Terraform, Bicep, or similar technologies.
- Identify and implement resource optimization efforts to control cloud spend and improve operational efficiency.
- Assist with CI/CD workflows, cloud‑supported deployments, and environment refreshes.
- Investigate and resolve infrastructure incidents, performance cases, connectivity issues, and service disruptions.
- Serve as an escalation point for cloud‑related operational issues across Technology, Operations, and Support teams.
- Conduct root‑cause analysis and contribute to long‑term corrective measures.
- Manage backup policies, snapshots, replication, and disaster recovery configurations.
- Support business continuity initiatives to protect mission‑critical systems like payroll, tax processing, and member enrollment.
