Mutual of Enumclaw works exclusively with local independent agents to offer insurance products for individuals, families, farms, and businesses. We currently operate in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Arizona, Montana and Wyoming.
At Mutual of Enumclaw, we’re building technology that empowers our people and strengthens the communities we serve. We’re looking for a Director of Software Engineering to lead a talented team in developing and maintaining the systems that power our business.
As a key member of our IT leadership team, you’ll report to the Chief Information Officer and play a vital role in shaping our software strategy. You’ll guide agile teams, partner across departments, and ensure our technology evolves with our company’s mission and goals.
Location:
The successful candidate will work in a hybrid capacity between our Home Office in Enumclaw, WA, and remotely. Candidate must live within driving distance of our Home Office and have high-speed internet (internet speed test required).
Hiring Range: $195,214 - $216,631
Salary Range: $195,214 - $240,056

WhatYou’ll Do
- Lead and inspire a high-performing software engineering organization.
- Drive the design, development, and support of internal and third-party systems.
- Collaborate with business and technology leaders to align software strategy with company objectives.
- Foster a culture of innovation, growth, and continuous improvement.
- Manage budgets, priorities, and resources to deliver business-critical solutions.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 15+ years in technology, with 5+ in leadership roles.
- Prior experience working for P&C Insurance organizations.
- Strong experience leading agile teams and delivering enterprise software.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and strategic thinking skills.
- A passion for mentoring others and driving impactful change.
