Position: Systems Analyst, Supply Chain (Starlink)

Overview

Space

X is developing a low latency, broadband internet system to meet the needs of consumers worldwide. Starlink will provide fast, reliable internet using a constellation of low Earth orbit satellites. As a Systems Analyst within the Starlink program you will analyze, develop, and implement tactical and strategic business processes for the supply chain group to create high impact, efficient, economical solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Identify and analyze key performance indicators related to supply chain, especially inventory levels, lead times, supply coverage, demand fluctuations, and capacity utilization (including developing planning models and decision‑making tools)
  • Create dashboards, models, and other reporting tools to enable strategic visibility across supply chain, production, cross‑functional teams, and leadership
  • Identify inefficient workflows and develop scripts to automate tactical steps
  • Track, report, and proactively manage production efficiency improvements (e.g., supply chain initiatives and process optimizations)
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on supply chain analysis to optimize both supplier and internal processes
  • Demonstrate innovation, technical excellence, attention to detail, self‑direction, and courage
  • Drive for results and customer satisfaction by collaborating with teams, leading projects, and spearheading improvements in supply chain
  • Work with stakeholders to analyze the impact of proposed business decisions (including actual performance) on Space

    X’s business health
  • Collaborate with the broader application software team to support ERP tools development and supplier‑facing portal enhancements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1+ years of experience with SQL and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Grafana) or programming experience
  • 1+ years of experience in analytics, operations, management/strategy consulting, planning, product management, or related fields
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Excellent analytical skills (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Microsoft Office suite and similar data manipulation tools)
  • Experience in Python and scripting
  • Degree in data science, computer science, industrial and systems engineering, operations or supply chain management
  • Demonstrated success driving tangible impact within a broader organization, particularly in production or project management contexts
  • Demonstrated experience managing simultaneous projects with tight deadlines and navigating ambiguous problem statements
  • Proficient in understanding end user requirements, translating requirements into design requirements, and identifying system enhancement opportunities
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as a team in a highly demanding, ambiguous, and fast paced environment
  • Understanding of business concepts relating to supply chain management (procurement, sourcing, material movement/logistics, supplier quality, etc.)
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed to meet major milestones
  • Up to 25% travel to suppliers and/or other Space

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Pay range:
Supply Chain Systems Analyst/Level I: $80,000.00 - $ per year
Supply Chain Systems Analyst/Level II: $90,000.00 - $ per year

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case‑by‑case basis and may vary based on job‑related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is part of Space

X’s total rewards package, including potential long‑term incentives, discretionary bonuses, and the ability to purchase additional stock through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
