Overview
The IT Senior Manager is responsible for the reliable, secure, and effective operation of the organization’s technology environment. This role ensures staff have the tools, systems, and support needed to work efficiently, securely, and without disruption.
The IT Sr. Manager provides hands-on technical support while also maintaining systems, documentation, and processes that scale with organizational needs. This is a remote position and requires the ability to provide timely and effective remote technical support to staff.

Essential Job Functions and ResponsibilitiesIT Sr. Manager responsibilities include end-user support (20%), systems and application administration (25%), infrastructure, security, and website management (20%), onboarding/offboarding and asset management (20%), budget and vendor management (10%), and other duties as assigned (5%).
End-User Technical Support (20%)- Provide day-to-day technical support to staff for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to laptops, mobile devices, printers, operating systems, and productivity tools.
- Respond to help desk requests in a timely and professional manner, prioritizing issues based on business impact.
- Create and maintain documentation, FAQs, and basic training materials to support common technical needs.
- Provide basic technology and security training and guidance to staff to improve efficiency and reduce recurring issues.
- Serve as administrator for core business applications, including Microsoft 365, Zoom Workplace, Google Workspace, Wrike, Adobe, and other SaaS platforms.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, security settings, and integrations across systems.
- Monitor system performance and usage to ensure reliability, security, and cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate application updates, feature rollouts, and configuration changes.
- Support application integrations and work with internal teams or vendors to resolve system issues.
- Administer and support the organization’s website including hosting, application updates, uptime monitoring, and basic troubleshooting
- Manage domain names, DNS, SSL certificates, hosting environments, and renewals
- Manage anti-virus and malware applications, including monitoring and updates
- Manage firewall protections
- Manage wi-fi and technical needs for in-person events
- Ensure website and system security best practices are followed, including backups, access controls, and vulnerability mitigation
- Monitor and respond to security risks, incidents, and alerts in coordination with vendors or partners as needed
- Maintain documentation related to infrastructure, credentials, and recovery procedures
- Lead all technical onboarding and offboarding processes for employees.
- Provision and deprovision accounts, devices, licenses, and system access in a timely and secure manner.
- Conduct technology orientation and basic training for new hires.
- Maintain accurate hardware inventory, including laptops, peripherals, and accessories.
- Manage the full lifecycle of hardware assets, including purchasing, deployment, maintenance, replacement, and disposal.
- Manage the organization’s IT budget, tracking expenses and identifying cost-effective solutions.
- Oversee software licensing, renewals, and compliance.
- Manage relationships with IT vendors, service providers, and hosting partners.
- Evaluate new tools or services and make recommendations aligned with organizational needs and budget.
- Support special projects, system improvements, or process enhancements related to technology.
- Assist with documentation, audits, or compliance-related technology needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience administering cloud-based productivity platforms (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoom Workplace, Hubspot, or similar).
