Position: IT Applications System Analyst OR IT Senior Application System Analyst
Job Type: Exempt/part-time
Responsibilities- System Support: Provide daily support for financial, inventory, accounting, and supply chain application systems with a focus on MEDITECH Expanse, including troubleshooting and user assistance.
- System Updates and Upgrades: Coordinate and manage system updates, patches, and upgrades for all relevant application systems, ensuring minimal operational disruption.
- User Support: Assist users by troubleshooting/resolving requests received through the service desk, such as user provisioning and enhancement requests for application systems. Participate in the call queue, serving as a primary point of contact for end users needing application system support.
- Incident Management: Manage and resolve system incidents, escalating critical issues to senior IT staff or vendors as necessary to maintain system uptime and service quality.
- Application Maintenance: Participate in the design, development, testing, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of materials management, inventory, supply chain, and financial applications.
- Quality Testing: Manage and execute quality testing efforts for projects, enhancements, and bug fixes.
- Training: Conduct training sessions for hospital staff and other users to ensure effective use of the system.
- Workflow Optimization: Work with materials management and accounting teams to optimize workflows and ensure the application systems meet their needs. Monitor system performance and offer suggestions for improving efficiency. Identify recurring system issues and work proactively with teams to implement long-term solutions and process improvements.
- Data Management: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data, including patient/provider records and other critical information, within the application systems.
- Liaison: Act as a liaison between the IT department and materials management/accounting staff to address issues or enhancement requests.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration; or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
Experience: Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, preferably in the MEDITECH Expanse Materials Management (MM) and Financial Management Solution (FMS) modules. Revenue Cycle and/or Clinical Applications experience is a plus. Preferred experience with conducting user/provider EMR training.
Senior Application Analyst:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems Management or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience) required.
Experience: This position requires 5+ years of IT experience with financial system applications.
Compensation- IT Applications Systems Analyst
: $32.00 - 36.80 hour, depending on education and experience. - IT Senior Applications Systems Analyst
: $48.00
-55.20 per hour, depending on education and experience. - Discretionary bonuses, relocation expenses, merit increase, market adjustments, recognition bonuses, and other forms of discretionary compensation may be available.
