Purpose:
We’re looking for a highly skilled Microsoft Cloud Systems Engineer to design, implement, and support our Microsoft ecosystem across Azure, Intune, and Microsoft 365. This role sits at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, endpoint management, identity, and collaboration services. You’ll be responsible for keeping our environment secure, scalable, and user-friendly—while continuously improving our operations on the Microsoft cloud.

Director of IT
Principal Job Duties:
- Design, deploy, and manage Azure resources including virtual machines, networking, storage, and Azure AD (Entra )
- Implement and maintain secure Azure architectures (RBAC, Conditional Access, MFA, Zero Trust principles)
- Monitor performance, availability, and cost optimization using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Cost Management
- Automate deployments and operational tasks using Power Shell
Endpoint & Device Management (Intune)
- Design and maintain device compliance, configuration profiles, security baselines, and application deployments
- Implement Windows Autopilot and modern provisioning strategies
- Partner with security teams to enforce endpoint protection and compliance policies
- Troubleshoot device, enrollment, and policy-related issues
Microsoft 365 Administration
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, One Drive, and Teams
- Manage identity lifecycle, licensing, and access policies
- Support email security, retention, DLP, and eDiscovery requirements
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to improve productivity and collaboration solutions
- Plan and execute upgrades, migrations, and new feature rollouts
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- Experience supporting end users remotely across multiple communication channels
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills for both hardware and software issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – especially with non-technical users
- Demonstrated patience, empathy, and customer service focus under pressure
- Access to reliable, high-speed internet and a quiet, remote working environment
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative remote team
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in Microsoft systems engineering or cloud administration
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure, Intune, and Microsoft 365
- Deep knowledge of Azure AD / Entra , Conditional Access, and identity security
- Strong Power Shell scripting skills for automation and administration
- Experience supporting modern workplace and endpoint management strategies
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and compliance best practices
Preferred / Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with Zero Trust architecture
- Familiarity with Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, and Microsoft Purview
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Bicep, Terraform)
- Prior experience in regulated or enterprise environments
Compensation Range:$77,000 - $82,000 Base + Bonus
