We are seeking a junior-to-mid level Power Platform & Azure Data Engineer who is eager to grow their skills in cloud data engineering, analytics platforms, and business automation. This role is ideal for someone who already has hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies and wants to develop into a full-stack data and analytics engineer.
This is a growth-focused role where you’ll collaborate with senior engineers, solution architects, and project managers to deliver real client solutions while building strong technical depth across Azure, Power Platform, and enterprise analytics platforms.
Role DescriptionWe are seeking an Associate Data & Automation Engineer for a full-time hybrid role based in Houston, TX, with opportunities for remote work. You will support the design and delivery of data, automation, and analytics solutions across Microsoft’s cloud ecosystem, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Azure SQL, and Azure data services.
You will assist in building data pipelines, developing reports and dashboards, integrating systems, and supporting automation workflows - while learning modern engineering practices such as CI/CD, environment management, and scalable platform design.
Responsibilities- Assist in building and maintaining Azure-based data pipelines
- Support ingestion and transformation of data from multiple sources
- Build and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards
- Assist with data modeling and performance optimization
- Learn and support CI/CD processes (Azure Dev Ops / Git Hub)
- Follow structured development and documentation standards
- 2-3 years experience in a technical role involving data, analytics, or automation
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies, such as Power BI, Power Platform or Azure services
- Intermediate to advanced SQL skills
- Familiarity with cloud concepts and data pipelines
- Strong willingness to learn and grow in Azure and data engineering
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Exposure to Azure services (Data Factory, Azure SQL, Synapse, Functions)
- Power Automate or Power Apps experience
- Git or version control experience
- Python
- Interest in AI/ML or analytics engineering
- Experience in consulting or client-facing environments
