Position: Pre-Sales Solutions Consultant (Full Time, Remote)

Overview

The Pre-Sales Solutions Consultant is responsible for designing, validating, and shaping customer solutions during the pre-sales phase to ensure successful implementation, delivery, and long-term value realization. This role applies deep analytical, technical, and business expertise to translate client needs into scalable, implementable solution architectures that align with organizational capabilities and delivery standards. Working closely with Sales, Implementation, Engineering, Product, and prospective clients, the Solutions Architect leads discovery, defines functional and technical requirements, and contributes directly to Statements of Work (SOWs).

The role ensures that solutions sold are technically sound, operationally feasible, and aligned with downstream implementation processes, reducing delivery risk and accelerating time to value. Acting as a bridge between sales and delivery, this position blends the capabilities of a Sales Engineer, Solution Architect, and Implementation Strategist, with a strong emphasis on pre-sales rigor and implementation readiness.

Responsibilities
  • Engage with prospective and existing clients to understand business objectives, operational workflows, data requirements, and technical constraints. Lead structured discovery to inform solution design.
  • Design end-to-end solution architectures that align client requirements with available products, platforms, integrations, data flows, security standards, and delivery capabilities.
  • Serve as the technical authority during pre-sales engagements, supporting sales conversations, solution validation sessions, and executive-level discussions.
  • Translate discovery outcomes into clear business, functional, and system-level requirements. Produce high-quality documentation to support accurate scoping and execution.
  • Partner with Sales and Implementation teams to define scope, assumptions, deliverables, dependencies, and acceptance criteria for Statements of Work.
  • Ensure proposed solutions are implementable within standard delivery frameworks. Identify risks, constraints, and gaps early and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Product, Implementation, and Operations teams to validate feasibility, align on effort estimates, and ensure solution consistency.
  • Provide architectural guidance to implementation teams during project transition, ensuring continuity between what is sold and what is delivered.
  • Review and assess third-party tools, integrations, and vendor proposals to ensure quality, compatibility, and cost effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate records of solution decisions, milestones, and assumptions. Contribute to improving pre-sales playbooks, templates, and architectural standards based on implementation feedback.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, 8 to 10 years with proven experience in solution architecture, pre-sales engineering, or technical consulting, with a strong track record of translating business requirements into implementable solutions.
  • Expertise in designing enterprise software or technology-enabled solutions, including integrations, data workflows, and system configurations.
  • Strong client-facing skills, with the ability to lead discovery sessions, present solutions, and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across Sales, Product, Engineering, and Implementation teams to ensure solution feasibility and delivery readiness.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and commitment to solution quality.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and client-focused, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for successful pre-sales and downstream implementation outcomes.
