Our products enable precision treatments through positioning and monitoring of patients in radiation therapy, which maximizes the dose in tumors and minimizes the dose in surrounding tissues. Our products support all major Photon and Proton therapy systems.

About the opportunity- As a Field Service Engineer at C-RAD, you will perform installations and maintenance on radiation therapy products, with St. Louis/Chicago area as your home region and regular travel across the United States and Canada
- You will plan and execute installations and customer acceptance, perform on-site service and preventive maintenance, and provide remote customer support from your home office
- This role is well suited to engineers who enjoy hands-on troubleshooting, travel, and completing complex installations independently
- Prepare and execute installations, service, and support activities in line with company procedures and routines
- Diagnose system or technical issues and determine appropriate solutions
- Provide basic customer technical training related to products
- Build positive relationships with customers and colleagues
- Document service calls, cases, and reports in a timely manner in accordance with company procedures
- Provide remote customer support as part of a rotating on-call schedule during business hours, with some schedule flexibility
- Medical device or radiotherapy experience is beneficial but not required; greater emphasis is placed on strong troubleshooting skills, technical curiosity, comfort with computers and hands-on work, and the persistence to fully resolve issues
- Practical, hands-on experience with Windows-based systems and IT/networking tasks, including system configuration, hardware and software installation and troubleshooting, network connectivity, and diagnostics
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Engineering (Biomedical, Electronics, Computer, Mechanical) or IT, or equivalent work experience
- Ability to travel up to 75%
- Ability to safely work on ladders, above drop ceilings, and lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Driver’s license and eligible for passport
- Strong personal drive and motivation to learn new products and subjects
- Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills, committed to building trusted customer and colleague relationships
- Self-motivated problem-solver, able to plan and execute own assignments
- Structured, analytical and professional in all situations
- On-the-job training through shadowing and mentoring with experienced Field Service Engineers, followed by formal product certification training
- Gradual progression from supervised preventive maintenance and service activities to independent service and installations
- Expectation of a proactive, self-directed approach to learning through hands-on experience, documentation review, and problem-solving in the field
- Contribute directly to C-RAD’s mission to improve cancer treatment and patient outcomes
