Your tasks- You will work on the design, development, and operation of HPC and Linux storage systems together with an interactive team.
- Your responsibilities include configuration and capacity management, as well as the deployment and monitoring of file systems based on ZFS on Linux.
- You will be responsible for providing the file systems to our customers over the network using NFS, SMB, and Lustre.
- You will work closely with HPC, Linux, Windows, and network experts.
- You will support file system users and help analyze and resolve functional and performance issues.
- You are interested in the latest developments in storage protocols such as RDMA or NVMe over Fabrics.
- You will follow developments in the field of file systems such as Lustre, BeeGFS, DAOS, etc.
- You have a bachelor's or master's degree (or equivalent) in computer science, mathematics, or a related technical field from a university with internationally recognized quality standards.
- You have at least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
- You have good knowledge of shell and scripting languages (Python, bash, etc.).
- Your knowledge of the Linux operating system is excellent; ideally also in the area of Red Hat distribution.
- You have good knowledge of networking of Ethernet and Infini Band, and are also knowledgeable in virtualization and container technologies (Open Stack, Singularity, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
- You are fluent in spoken and written English;
German language skills are a plus. - Your working style is structured, systematic, and strongly focused on customer needs. You are able to collaborate effectively in teams.
If you fulfill all the requirements, you may be eligible for a salary grade of up to E 13. Social benefits are based on the Collective Wage Agreement for Public-Sector Employees (TVöD). This is a permanent position.
