We are seeking a Client Technology Advisor (CTA) with deep technical experience across infrastructure, Microsoft 365, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity. This role is designed for experienced IT professionals who want to apply their technical expertise in a consultative, client-facing position focused on optimization, security, and long-term success.
Role SummaryThe Client Technology Advisor (CTA) is a client-facing technical consultant responsible for the retention, optimization, security, and expansion of existing client environments. This role is primarily technical and focuses on infrastructure, modern workplace technologies, and cybersecurity strategy, while maintaining strong client relationships.
The CTA does not perform day-to-day helpdesk support. Instead, the role provides deep technical guidance, risk assessment, and strategic recommendations that align technology with business outcomes.

- Client-facing with real technical authority and influence
- Serve as the primary technical and cybersecurity advisor for assigned clients
- Assess endpoint hardware, server infrastructure, networking, Microsoft 365, cloud, and security posture
- Design and maintain client technology and security roadmaps
- Advise on cloud, SaaS, remote computing, and infrastructure modernization
- Identify technical risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
- Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and technical planning sessions
- Collaborate with internal service, project, and security teams
- Support consultative expansion initiatives based on technical and security needs
- Assess cybersecurity posture across endpoints, identity, email, network, and backup systems
- Advise on cybersecurity best practices and risk mitigation strategies
- Translate security risks into clear business impact language
- Support resilience planning, incident readiness, and compliance discussions
- Recommend security tooling aligned to client risk profiles and business needs
- 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, security, or technical consulting
- Experience working in an MSP or multi-client IT environment
- Strong knowledge of endpoint hardware, servers, virtualization, and SMB networking
- Microsoft 365 administration, licensing, and security experience
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure, SaaS platforms, and remote work technologies
- Strong cybersecurity fundamentals across identity, endpoint, email, and network security
- Experience with MSP tools, Microsoft ecosystems, endpoint security platforms, firewalls, backup solutions, and cloud-based services is strongly preferred
- Microsoft 365 Administrator
- Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or higher
- Microsoft Security Fundamentals (SC-900)
- CompTIA Security+
- CompTIA Network+
- Microsoft security certifications (SC-300, SC-200)
- CISSP, SSCP, or similar cybersecurity certifications
- ITIL Foundation
- Vendor security certifications (firewalls, endpoint protection, backup, MDR)
