Role Overview

Lantana is seeking a Business Analyst to support software development and implementation initiatives. This role focuses on analyzing business processes, maintaining Agile product backlogs, gathering requirements, and collaborating with stakeholders and technical teams to deliver scalable healthcare technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities Backlog & Agile Delivery Management
  • Own, maintain, and prioritize execution and operations product backlogs

  • Align backlog priorities with facility onboarding timelines, validation results, and implementation metrics

  • Collaborate with Agile Project Managers to resolve dependencies and project blockers

  • Lead Agile ceremonies including:

    • Sprint planning

    • Daily stand-ups

    • Backlog refinement

    • Sprint reviews

  • Track Agile performance metrics including velocity and burn-down charts

Requirements & Solution Design
  • Gather and document requirements from stakeholders, clients, and external users

  • Translate validation findings and real-world feedback into implementation and validation tickets

  • Create functional specifications, user stories, and business process workflows

  • Analyze complex business problems and recommend effective technical solutions

Stakeholder & Team Collaboration
  • Facilitate collaboration between business stakeholders and technical teams

  • Communicate requirement updates and project changes effectively

  • Foster collaborative, self-organizing Agile team environments

  • Identify and remove impediments that impact project delivery

Documentation & Continuous Improvement
  • Maintain project documentation including:

    • Requirements documentation

    • User guides

    • Training materials

  • Support retrospectives and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Ensure alignment between business needs and technical implementations

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field

  • Minimum 6 years of Business Analyst or related experience supporting software development projects

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Experience translating complex business needs into technical requirements

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder facilitation skills

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments

  • Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust Level 5 clearance

  • Ability to work effectively within distributed and remote teams

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using Agile lifecycle tools such as Jira and Confluence

  • Knowledge of product management practices

  • Experience supporting healthcare standards or public health reporting initiatives

  • Experience working with federal healthcare agencies such as CMS, CDC, or HHS

  • Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards including:

    • Clinical Document Architecture (CDA)

    • HL7 Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR)

  • Professional certifications such as:

    • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM)

    • Certified Analytics Professional (CAP)

    • Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering (CPRE)

Work Environment
  • Fully remote U.S.

    -based role

  • Occasional in-person collaboration during company-wide events
