Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Project Manager – EHR Interoperability who will be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of integration projects between our medical devices and client EHR systems. This role requires strong experience in Epic workflows and Rhapsody Integration Engine, as well as a deep understanding of HL7, FHIR, and clinical workflows. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, implementation engineers, clinicians, and client stakeholders, to ensure successful deployment and interoperability of our solutions.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage multiple concurrent EHR integration projects with a focus on Epic and Rhapsody.

Serve as the primary liaison between internal technical teams and client IT departments.

Define project scope, timelines, deliverables, and resource plans.

Oversee the development and deployment of HL7 and FHIR-based interfaces using Rhapsody.

Manage risks, issues, and change control processes throughout the project lifecycle.

Conduct regular project status meetings and provide detailed updates to stakeholders.

Ensure integrations align with regulatory, security, and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA).

Participate in requirements gathering and workflow analysis to inform interface design.

Facilitate validation testing, go-live support, and post-implementation reviews.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and documentation of best practices.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.

5+ years of experience managing healthcare IT or EHR integration projects.

Strong working knowledge of Epic EHR systems, including interface specifications and workflows.

Hands-on experience with Rhapsody Integration Engine, including interface development and troubleshooting.

Familiarity with HL7 v2.x, HL7 v3, FHIR, CCD, and related interoperability standards.

Exceptional project management skills with proficiency in tools like Jira, MS Project, or Smartsheet.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or similar certification.

Experience with other EHR systems (Cerner, Meditech, etc.) is a plus.

Prior experience in a medical device or health tech company.

Knowledge of healthcare regulatory environments (FDA, HIPAA, HITECH).
