Duration: 6-12 Months

• Responsible for integrity of database including planning, development, troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Performs tuning, testing, system analysis and security management.
• Suggests strategies and provides input to high level plans to implement them.
• Designs, installs and performs ongoing maintenance and creates documentation for the database environments.
• Develops maintenance and backup procedures, change control processes and operational documentation.
• Assists application development teams in working with databases, planning and implementing production changes and assisting with query optimization.
• Implements and performs capacity planning, performance monitoring and reporting processes.
• Performs ongoing performance tuning and optimization activities.
• Provides support to production database when required (24/7).

• Database Administration principles and best practices.
• Application development practices and techniques.
• At least 3+ years experience working with large databases including Data Warehouses and Data Marts.
• At least 3+ years experience in Inter Systems Cache product.
• Experience with backup and recovery procedures.
• Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting.
