DescriptionMake a difference for national security by joining a team of dedicated IT professionals who will sustain, modernize and transform the enterprise IT capabilities for the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA). The Air Force, Space and Intelligence Business Group (AFSI) of SAIC is seeking a Service Now Software Engineer to support a transformational infrastructure program for DCSA.
SAIC is proud to be supporting DCSA in safeguarding our nation's information. DCSA is the designated oversight authority on the accreditation of classified facilities, information systems, and the insider threat program. This involves security oversight of more than 10,000 companies and approximately 13,000 facilities involved in classified work throughout the DoD and 31 Federal agencies.
On the DCSA One IT program, SAIC will provide an enterprise IT solution that delivers highly secured and adaptable IT infrastructure, provides customer support, and cutting-edge technologies that support operations and advance the DCSA mission under a single IT environment (i.e., One IT).
Key Responsibilities- Service Now Development:
Design, develop, and implement Service Now solutions, including ITSM, ITOM, and ITBM. - Customization and change configuration management for Service Now applications.
- Develop workflows, scripts, business rules, UI policies, UI actions, client scripts, and notifications.
- Integration and Automation:
Design and implement integrations between Service Now and other enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs and Integration Hub. - Automate routine tasks and processes to improve efficiency.
- Technical Leadership:
Serve as a technical advisor and lead on Service Now projects and initiatives. - Mentor junior developers; conduct code reviews and enforce best practices.
- Stakeholder
Collaboration:
Gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. - Quality Assurance:
Test solutions and troubleshoot defects. - Documentation and Reporting:
Create technical documentation, test plans, user guides, and reports on performance and project status.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in Service Now development and administration.
- Secret clearance.
- Extensive experience with Service Now platform, scripting, customization, configuration.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related languages.
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes and best practices.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum.
- Excellent problem-solving and the ability to work independently and in a team.
- Strong communication skills with stakeholders.
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance as required by the client.
- Service Now CSA, CAD, CIS certifications.
- Experience with government or defense clients.
- Familiarity with Dev Ops practices and tools.
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
