This position is part of the Service Organization located in the greater Chicago area and will be fully REMOTE
. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time. You will be a part of the Field Service Team reporting to the Field Service Supervisor and responsible for ensuring optimal performance of Beckman Coulter equipment, primarily the chemistry instruments.
- Work independently to troubleshoot, install, perform preventative maintenance and repair Beckman Coulter equipment, while providing excellent and efficient service to customers and delivering technical training on products.
- Maintain accurate customer service logs and internal service records, order repair parts, and adhere to cycle times, utilizing business systems such as OBI, Salesforce, and SharePoint for Service Call Planning and advancing team goals.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand and meet their requirements, and support newer Field Service Engineers.
- Associate’s degree plus 1 year of experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, robotics, electronic equipment, and/or instrumentation OR equivalent military experience (working on any mechanical, technical, laboratory, pneumatic or related instruments).
- Requires up to 75% flying and/or driving travel, including overnight stays. Travel will primarily be domestic but may occasionally be international.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to regularly lift, move, slide, raise and/or place up to 50 lbs. unassisted and to stand, walk, sit, squat, kneel, ascend and descend stairs, and reach with hands and arms.
- 2+ years of advanced troubleshooting, installation, validation, preventative maintenance, modifications, and/or service repair.
- Developing positive business relationships with internal and external stakeholders, leading to increased customer satisfaction and long‑term retention.
- A technical college major such as biomedical, engineering, or related field.

The hourly range for this role is $26.00‑$38.00
. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
