DevOps Platform Engineer

This developer will work primarily on projects related to Dev Ops as well as the security of our platform. Support and work alongside a cross-functional engineering team on the latest technologies.

Role and responsibilities:

• Build, integrate, deploy and maintain development tools focusing on:
  • code deployment
  • platform security
  • source control
  • system administration
  • configuration management
  • application performance
• Participate in system maintenance and application uptime activities
• Work on Security-focused development projects utilizing Cold Fusion and associated technologies (Java script, ...)
• Implement automation, effective monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code
• Deploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments
• Iterate on best practices to increase the quality & velocity of deployments
• Have on-call responsibilities in rotation with the engineering team

• Experience maintaining and deploying highly-available, fault-tolerant systems at scale, preferably in a SaaS environment
• Understanding of secure systems deployment and software development (ie. OWASP)
• Natural tendency to automate repetitive tasks (e.g. scripting via Powershell, Bash, etc)
• Ability to understand complex problems and communicate them in simple terms to all levels of company
• AWS skills (e.g. IAM, EC2, VPC, ELB, ALB, Autoscaling)
• MS Windows Server, IIS and MS application skills
• MS SQL Server skills
• Version control system experience (e.g. Subversion, Git)
• Experience implementing CI/CD (e.g. Jenkins, Travis
  
  CI)
• Clear understanding of Disaster Recovery, Redundancy, Scalability
• Experience with IT assessments, audits/reviews (eg. PCI, HIPAA, Best Practices Risk Assessments)
• Ability to learn and apply new technologies through self-learning

• Ability to work effectively in a remote/decentralized environment
