Practice Leader - Financial Services; East Coast
Job Overview
We are seeking a Financial Services Practice Leader to spearhead the growth of our financial services vertical. This is a high-impact, individual contributor role focused on senior-level advisory work and aggressive revenue generation. You will be the face of our financial services arm, serving as a credible thought leader for clients navigating the complexities of modern finance. Your mission is two-fold: providing high-stakes technology advisory to existing partners and proactively hunting for new opportunities within banks, hedge funds, wealth management firms, emerging Fin Techs, PE firms, insurance providers, and payment processors.
Responsibilities- Strategic Advisory:
Act as a senior advisor to help clients solve critical technology challenges, from legacy modernization and core banking transitions to cybersecurity and complex regulatory compliance. - Business Development:
Take full ownership of growing revenue within this vertical by leveraging your existing contacts and proactively reaching out to C-level executives (CTO, CIO, COO) and VPs in IT and operations. - Market Influence:
Build brand authority by writing industry-shaping articles, joining high-profile podcasts, and speaking at major trade shows and conferences. - Relationship Management:
Manage existing client relationships while simultaneously setting meetings with new prospects to build a robust inbound and outbound lead pipeline. - Deal Execution:
Operate with extreme self-motivation to bring deals to the table without requiring significant oversight or hand-holding.
- Industry Tenure:
At least 15 years of deep expertise within the financial services sector. - Leadership Pedigree:
Prior experience as a CTO or CIO at a financial services organization is highly preferred, providing you the credibility to advise other C-suite executives. - Deep Network: A broad, active network of close relationships across banks, payment companies (merchant acquiring, ISOs, gateways), insurance firms, and/or investment groups.
- Technical Fluency:
Profound understanding of software development life cycles, cloud-native transformations, and the specific tech stacks driving modern Fin Tech. - Communication Mastery:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required for both thought leadership content and high-level discussions.
