Job Description

The State of Nebraska, Department of Health and Human Services, is seeking an IT Business Systems Analyst to join our IS&T Team! In this role, you will conduct business process analysis and design while providing systems support for automated business applications. Acting as a liaison between business end users and application developers, you will ensure seamless communication and effective system solutions.

Job Duties Of The IT Business Systems Analyst Include
  • Serve as a liaison between technical developers and Child Support Enforcement partners.
  • Gather and analyze complex business processes and requirements.
  • Communicate with DHHS personnel and external partners to gather business requirements for the CHARTS application.
  • Participate in developing requirement specification documents and facilitate JAD sessions.
  • Document business requirements and objectives, including functional workflows for software modifications.
  • Review and recommend solutions proposed by programming staff for system changes or enhancements to management.
  • Review system design documents and revalidate previously defined business processes.
  • Investigate and resolve reported issues and concerns.
  • Define and execute test scripts, document test results, report defects, and conduct retesting.
  • Provide daily support to CHARTS application users, including prompt response to inquiries.
  • Develop online Help, Release notes, and publications to assist front-line users.
Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
:
Post high school coursework, training, or experience in the analysis of business processes and system requirements, and the creation of business process applications.

Preferred Qualifications: Child Support Enforcement experience and/or Business Analyst experience on a software development project.

Other: Must be located in Nebraska. This is not an out-of-state remote position.
