The Lands team is seeking an accomplished, passionate Senior Dev Ops Engineer to join our team in not only supporting these multiple software products and brands but working with us to develop and continuously improve our systems and processes. The ideal candidate would have a passion for all things Dev Ops and is excited to be part of an awesome tight‑knit team of product managers, software developers and quality assurance engineers.
This role is located in our Austin, TX office and has a schedule of 4 days on‑site and 1 day work from home.
- Automating and leveraging Dev Ops principles, always striving for operational excellence with infrastructure‑as‑code mentality.
- Live and breathe build and deployment pipeline development using latest Dev Ops tools and innovative methods.
- On‑Premise Infrastructure Management: designing, implementing, and maintaining physical and virtual servers, storage, and network infrastructure within the company’s own data center.
- Ensure the health and uptime of critical systems and applications with pro‑active monitoring, analyzing metrics, implementing best practices, and strong troubleshooting skills.
- Collaborate with Dev and QA to enhance our processes.
- Communicate and collaborate well with teams in broader IT and business organizations within the company.
- Strong communication skills, expressing oneself clearly both verbally and in writing.
- Participate in on‑call rotation.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited, not‑for‑profit University or College.
- A track record of commitment to prior employers.
- 4+ years’ experience managing heavy web traffic sites using mass scale architecture with a developer focus.
- Experience with build and deployment pipeline development in Team Foundation Server/Azure Dev Ops Server.
- Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform or similar platforms.
- Heavy scripting support (Power Shell).
- Experience with Akamai and load balancing technologies such as F5 LTMs, including management of VIPs, pools, nodes, iRule authoring, SSL offloading.
- Experienced in configuration management tools (Chef or Ansible).
- Familiarity with infrastructure foundation components of large networks in on‑prem (e.g., systems & network administration, DNS, hypervisors, containers, databases, multi‑datacenters).
- Windows and Linux systems experience.
- Microsoft IIS based web applications (front end and backend) experience.
- Experience with enterprise monitoring tools and VMWare basic knowledge.
- Some experience in AWS or Cloud experience is a nice to have.
