Reporting to the Supervisor of Product System Configuration, this position will be responsible for report design and maintenance of ad-hoc and routine reports, and new report development. The Report Developer II will also provide technical and analytical guidance for applicable department team members of all levels and department projects.
The role requires an understanding of advanced and complex systems, concepts, complex report writing, and table design and structure to support IEHP business rules. The individual must analyze and interpret applicable system methodologies through reporting capabilities and work with department team members to define requests, requirements, design, and develop quality reports that meet business needs. The position is responsible for development projects in collaboration with other business units throughout the organization and must navigate applicable IEHP systems.

- Knowledge of data analysis, data presentation, spreadsheet and database capabilities
- Strong knowledge of department applicable methodologies, including stored procedures
- Strong understanding of data flow in the healthcare domain, interoperability, and data integration
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Experience with data tools separate from SSRS (e.g., Power
BI, Thought Spot, Git Hub, Kibana/Elasticsearch, Crystal Reports, Business Objects, and Google Analytics) - Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Proficient with select queries with inner/outer joins, pivots, and advanced text and numeric functions
- Ability to work independently or with little direction
- Strong initiative to meet established deadlines
- Attention to detail
- Effective verbal and written communication to develop and maintain relationships with all staff and management levels
- Team‑oriented and cooperative on group projects
- Multi‑tasking ability and adherence to IEHP policies and procedures
- Eligibility for telecommuting/remote work after HR approval
- Hybrid or telecommute positions may require periodic in‑person meetings at IEHP’s main campus as needed by leadership
- Five (5) years of experience in a managed care or health plan setting in a reporting or analytic capacity in any relevant field
- Five (5) years of technical experience in Structured Query Language (SQL) system design, development, and production support of large applications/systems, including database management techniques
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another technically relevant degree from an accredited institution is required
