Position: IT Supervisor, AMI Technology (Hybrid)

Eversource supports work-life balance by offering hybrid schedules for certain roles. Eligibility is based on job responsibilities, operational needs, nature of work and team dynamics. Current guidelines require employees to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the third day set by the employee and supervisor based on department needs. These guidelines apply to roles approved for remote work and are subject to change, based on managerial discretion and work performance.

The Information Technology (IT) Supervisor of AMI Technology is a key leadership role responsible for managing the support, development, and implementation of metering and Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) applications. This individual will lead a production support team, overseeing the day-to-day operations of our AMI technology landscape to ensure the delivery of stable, secure, and high-performing solutions that enable efficient business operations and exceptional customer service.

The Supervisor will be accountable for maintaining system reliability, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement across the AMI technology applications portfolio.

This role requires a dynamic blend of strategic leadership, technical expertise, and cross-functional collaboration. The IT Supervisor will be responsible for managing application enhancements, coordinating system upgrades, and leading project implementations across the metering technology portfolio. Projects may follow either Agile or Waterfall methodologies, depending on scope and business needs, and will require close coordination with internal teams, external vendors, and business stakeholders.

The Supervisor will also play a key role in planning and prioritizing initiatives, ensuring that technology solutions align with business objectives and deliver measurable value. In addition to overseeing technical execution, this individual will foster strong relationships across departments, promote transparency in communication, and champion a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. This role is critical in ensuring reliable metering technology that supports operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Essential

Functions
  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the AMI technology applications support team, ensuring consistent and high-quality service delivery.
  • Coordinate application maintenance, production support, and release management activities across the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) portfolio.
  • Work with the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Technology ecosystem, including, but not limited to the Siemens Energy

    IP Meter Data Management System, Itron Utility

    IQ application, and associated adapters to ensure ongoing connectivity. This role also oversees the technical relationship with the Itron Operations Optimizer Saas solution.
  • Maintain familiarity with SAP S/4

    HANA and applications hosted on Microsoft Azure Cloud to support integration and operational stability.
  • Monitor system performance and reliability, ensuring alignment with internal standards and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Manage relationships with cloud-hosted and managed service providers, ensuring contractual obligations and SLAs are met.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand operational needs and ensure timely resolution of issues.
