We’re looking for an expert Data Architect to support our sales team during their work with prospects who confirmed their interest in doing business with Forte. You will serve as the strategic data lead during the opportunity phase, design high-level data strategies and help prospective clients understand how to modernize their data infrastructure, with the ultimate goal to instill confidence in our ability to execute and convert qualified prospects to Forte clients.
You’re expected to:
- Participate as SME:
Join discovery calls with prospective clients to discuss data maturity, governance, and data engineering strategy with client’s CTOs and Engineering Managers - Analyze Requirements:
Review client’s input, ask clarification questions to understand their current data landscape and desired future states, generate questions to uncover hidden complexities, to make sure Forte properly understands their needs and can deliver properly designed solutions - Tech Stack Selection:
Recommend appropriate tools and platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, DBT, Airflow, AWS/Azure/GCP data suites). Outline high-level ETL/ELT pipelines and integration strategies - Support Proposals:
Produce high-level data architectures tailored to client needs, specifically choosing between Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, or Lakehouse architectures, that will be included into the final Proposals and Statements of Work (SOWs) - Estimate:
Collaborate with the delivery teams to estimate effort and resources required for the solution development
You’re not expected to:
- Participate in cold calls, initial contacts, marketing campaigns and general sales activities. You will be invited when we make sure that the potential client has qualified interest and ability to work with Forte
This role is part-time, hourly based.
We will engage you where your skills, qualification and domain expertise match the client’s request. We’re building a narrow pool of trusted Architects with different expertise (Mobile, Data, Security, etc.) with whom we maintain long-term relationships that could be converted into full-time jobs in future.
Requirements:
- Data Modeling Expert:
Strong background in conceptual and logical data modeling for complex business solutions - Modern Data Stack:
Deep expertise in current architectures including Data Lakes, Lake houses, and Cloud Data Warehouses - Data Engineering Fluency:
Comprehensive understanding of data ingestion, transformation (ETL/ELT), and orchestration - Consultative Approach:
Ability to quickly assess client’s data management challenges and propose a clear, winning solution path - Presales
Experience:
Proven experience scoping data-related projects, writing technical proposals, or acting as a solutions consultant is highly preferred - Communication:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
