The following describes responsibilities, qualifications, and requirements for the Beaker Epic analyst role. The analyst configures, rolls out, and supports the assigned Beaker Epic application(s), performing business/systems analysis, requirements definition and documentation, system design, and problem resolution. The analyst communicates with system end-users to understand issues and implement solutions, while demonstrating AHN Core Behaviors.
Job Responsibilities- Epic Beaker System Management: Plans, designs/builds, tests, implements, and supports Beaker Epic software. Analyzes and determines system requirements and specifications, performs workflow analysis, evaluates user experience, and maintains environments or applications using domain knowledge.
- Configuration & Optimization: Using in-depth Epic knowledge, configures changes within Epic environments to provide standardized, comprehensive workflows. Corrects issues, conducts routine maintenance, updates systems with new functionality to meet end-user needs, and implements new technologies.
- Problem Resolution & Support: Facilitates issue resolution (project and support) and collaborates with IT teams, driving to completion with minimal supervision. Provides guidance to end-users to enhance Epic usage, conducts root cause analysis, and documents solutions.
- Project Contribution & Management: Contributes to and manages medium to large portions of projects within the assigned area; collaborates on small to medium projects independently. Keeps stakeholders informed on progress, tasks, projects, and issues.
- Process Improvement & Innovation: Initiates process improvements with some direction from management. Identifies opportunities to improve workflows and technology usage, and develops new approaches with management input.
- Collaboration & Mentorship: Works with clinical, business, and technical resources in a positive, collaborative manner. Recommends enterprise-level solutions, assists with training, and provides guidance to less experienced analysts.
- Technical Analysis & Documentation: Conducts in-depth workflow analysis, data collection, and documentation of configurations and training materials related to application implementation.
Required
- 3 years of systems administration experience within one or more Epic modules.
Preferred
- Experience with Epic Beaker
- 3 years of experience in the healthcare industry
- Ability to handle analysis, design, system configuration and testing tasks at basic to moderate levels of complexity
- Excellent customer service skills
- Uses critical thinking skills for assigned tasks
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to establish working relationships that foster teamwork
- Strong organizational skills in managing priorities
- Knowledge of project management principles as they relate to assigned tasks

- 2 years of relevant work experience in lieu of an Associate's Degree

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare or relevant experience
