Network Operations Specialist

• Manipulate network traffic and facilitate cleaning, repairs, and replacement of company-owned fiber and optical equipment
• Plan and execute network maintenance tasks while responding to network-related incidents and escalations
• Answer questions regarding fiber optic issues, update trouble tickets, and schedule maintenance activities
• Conduct proactive audits to identify potential network performance problems
• Engage in testing and troubleshooting fiber transport with local systems and transport vendors

• Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school with a minimum of six months of related experience or training
• Minimum of six months experience in a network operations environment preferred
• CCNA certification preferred
• Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to work alternate shifts and participate in on-call rotation to support a 24/7 operation

• Experience in a network operations environment
• Strong self-starter attitude and ability to work under pressure
• Excellent communication skills
• Proven accountability and high performance in previous roles
• Flexibility to adapt to varying work schedules
