The Northrop Grumman Classified Solutions team is seeking an early career level Systems Administrator to join its dynamic team of technical professionals. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Systems support team in Emerado, North Dakota.

Due to the classified nature of the work being performed, this position does not offer any virtual or telecommute working options. Applicants are encouraged to apply, only if they are willing to work on-site. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
* Perform as a Windows and Linux system administrator for classified government contracts.

* Provide support for legacy SGI IRIX operating systems and corresponding proprietary software.

* Design and develop interactive dashboards using modern UI frameworks to present complex data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

* Build and maintain SQL databases, including schema design, query optimization, and implementation of indexes, views and stored procedures to support analytical workloads.

* Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network, software, and system engineer, along with PC desktop technicians, project managers, end users, and customer/IT management.

* Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, with internal or external customers, in written and oral format.

* Interact, meet, discuss, and troubleshoot issues with vendors; evaluate vendor products, services, and suggestions.

* Make recommendations on how to purchase hardware, software, and system components.

* Analyze internal or external customer requirements and determine equipment and software solutions by means of automated systems.

* Works under minimal direction and independently determines and develops approaches to solutions.

* Able to support multiple networks and ensure necessary administration tasks are completed, directing others as necessary.

* Recommend and implement system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of a system including installing, upgrading, patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management.

* Provide backup/recovery services and manage virus protection on a routine basis.

* Create and maintain user/computer accounts and maintain access control requirements.

* Test new releases of products to ensure compatibility and minimize user impact.
