We're seeking a Senior Dev Ops Engineer to join our Dev Ops team and play a key role in architecting and evolving our cloud infrastructure. This is a senior technical position where you'll design scalable solutions, mentor engineers, and drive strategic initiatives that support our growing platform.
You'll work directly with the Director of Dev Ops and Security alongside our talented Dev Ops engineering team to shape our infrastructure strategy. This role is perfect for someone who loves solving complex technical challenges, can balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution, and thrives in a collaborative environment where infrastructure, security, and compliance intersect.
This can be a hybrid position in South Jordan, Utah (M, W, F in‑office) or fully remote based from Utah.

• Design and implement infrastructure solutions that scale with our business, making key technical decisions about our AWS/EKS environment
• Own critical components of our Kubernetes infrastructure, including cluster design, networking, and observability
• Lead architectural reviews and provide technical direction for infrastructure initiatives
• Evaluate and introduce new technologies that improve reliability, security, and developer experience
• Partner with Engineering leadership to align infrastructure roadmap with business objectives

• Lead Terraform and Pulumi implementations, establishing patterns and best practices for infrastructure provisioning
• Build automation and developer tooling that improves deployment velocity and reduces toil
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Git Hub Actions and ArgoCD
• Create self‑service infrastructure tooling that empowers development teams
• Establish infrastructure testing strategies and automation frameworks

• Own the reliability and performance of our EKS clusters and supporting AWS infrastructure
• Implement and maintain our ingress and routing infrastructure using Traefik
• Manage and optimize our data infrastructure including Postgre
  
  SQL, Redis, Rabbit
  
  MQ, and Snowflake
• Establish SLOs/SLIs and implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting strategies using Datadog
• Design and test disaster recovery procedures and business continuity plans
• Lead incident response for infrastructure‑related issues and drive post‑incident reviews
• Optimize Postgre
  
  SQL RDS instances for performance, reliability, and cost

• Implement infrastructure security controls in partnership with our Security team
• Manage secrets and credential lifecycle using Hashi Corp Vault
• Ensure infrastructure compliance with SOC 2 requirements
• Design and implement network security policies, VPC architecture, and IAM strategies
• Conduct security reviews of infrastructure changes and third‑party integrations

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Dev Ops engineers
• Conduct code and design reviews, elevating team engineering practices
• Lead knowledge‑sharing sessions and documentation initiatives
• Contribute to hiring and onboarding processes for the Dev Ops team
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence

• 6+ years of experience in Dev Ops, SRE, or Platform Engineering roles
• Deep expertise with AWS services and architecture patterns (VPC, IAM, EKS, RDS, Cloud Watch, etc.)
