What We Do
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Governance Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity, security, and effective utilization of our data assets. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of data governance principles and practices, combined with strong analytical and leadership skills.
- Develop data governance policies and standards to ensure data consistency and accessibility across the organization.
- Provide technology stakeholders advice as it relates to the data governance framework and standards to ensure ongoing compliance with data governance policies and standards.
- Establish and maintain data governance frameworks, including data stewardship.
- Provide guidance and support to data stewards, data owners, and other stakeholders in implementing data governance practices.
- Work with Data Stewards to identify and document data assets needing specific security considerations and provide oversight.
- Develop and deliver training programs to promote data governance awareness and best practices across the organization.
- Monitor and report on data governance metrics and KPIs to track progress and drive continuous improvement.
- Conduct data governance impact assessments to identify potential risks associated with data collection, processing, and sharing.
- Provide guidance and oversight for documenting and maintaining critical data domain inventory and business metadata.
- Lead data governance initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain data standards and best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in information management, Computer Science, or a related field;
Master’s degree preferred. - 7+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related role, preferably within the financial services or real estate industry.
- Demonstrated success in improving data maturity and data management practices.
- Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, tools, and best practices.
- Experience with defining and implementing enterprise data governance frameworks, policies, standards and procedures.
- Experience conducting regular assessments and audits to ensure data standards are met.
- Ability to identify, analyze and mitigate data-related risks and issues.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with data concepts such as policy as code, data mesh and graph
DB. - Experience maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of data governance activities and documentation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with data governance and data quality tools and technologies.
- Programming skills (e.g., SQL) are beneficial.
- Certification in data governance or data management (e.g., DAMA, CDMP) is a plus.
Pay Range
: $ - $ Annually
This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
