Location: Indianapolis

The Lead Platform Architect will have a deep understanding of cloud technologies, Dev Ops principles, and experience in architecting scalable and resilient infrastructure solutions. This role will be instrumental in designing and implementing cutting‑edge Dev Ops platforms to support our clients' diverse needs.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, automation, implementation, and management of Dev Ops solutions with a focus on identity management, cloud technologies, networking technologies, and VMware.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure secure and efficient user access management.
  • Oversee the configuration and management of cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), including VMware‑based solutions.
  • Implement and maintain networking technologies to optimize application performance and reliability.
  • Provide guidance on best practices for security, compliance, scalability, and automation.
  • Develop and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, and configuration management systems.
  • Mentor and train junior Dev Ops engineers.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead the design and implementation of Dev Ops platforms and solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements, define architecture, and drive the delivery of Dev Ops initiatives.
  • Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline deployment, provisioning, and monitoring processes.
  • Architect and implement CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment of applications.
  • Design and implement infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Cloud Formation.
  • Evaluate new technologies and tools to enhance the capabilities of our Dev Ops platforms.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored Dev Ops solutions.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of industry experience in Dev Ops, with a strong emphasis on identity management, cloud technologies (including VMware), networking, and automation.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation tools (Jenkins, Git Lab CI/CD), and infrastructure automation.
  • Proficiency in Terraform is highly desired.
  • Strong expertise in cloud platforms, including VMware (vSphere, vCenter, NSX‑T), and other major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing principles and experience with leading cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or Power Shell.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with tools such as Jenkins, Git Lab CI/CD.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Cloud Formation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams and clients.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges.
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Dev Ops Engineer, Azure Dev Ops Engineer Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Dev Ops Engineer are a plus.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced and collaborative environment.
  • CCNP and/or VCP‑DV, VCP‑NSX is required.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business or a related field.
