Role Summary
This role involves working with large data sets within a hybrid cloud environment to develop descriptive statistical models that address critical business challenges. The position requires managing the entire lifecycle of data solutions and data warehouses, including implementing improvements, supporting production environments, and optimizing cloud and server resources. Collaborating across organizational levels to understand business needs and enhancing analytics infrastructure are key components of this role.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain the company's Business Intelligence infrastructure and data warehouse solutions.
- Support the full lifecycle of data solution development, including managing changes, production support, and cloud/server optimization.
- Develop descriptive statistical models to analyze complex data sets and support business decision-making.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SSIS, Azure Data Factory, and SSRS failures and defects efficiently.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and enhance data architecture, availability, and application support.
- Support citizen development initiatives by developing and delivering training, and contributing to policies and procedures.
- Optimize data warehousing processes using SQL, Synapse, and related tools.
- Ensure security, reliability, and scalability of data solutions in the hybrid cloud environment.
- Stay informed on emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing data systems.
- Participate in other duties as assigned to support organizational data initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, engineering, business, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting a major technology application.
- At least one (1) year of experience working within data science or business intelligence development.
- Proficiency in SQL and Oracle database management.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, particularly SQL and Synapse.
- Experience with ETL processes and job management.
- Knowledge of BI tools, including Power BI, for report and dashboard development.
- Understanding of OLAP, cube design, and multi-dimensional database structures such as star schemas.
- Basic Microsoft Office application skills and PC proficiency.
- Demonstrated organizational and interpersonal skills, with a focus on safety.
- Preferred:
Azure analytics platform proficiency (Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks). - Preferred:
Microsoft certifications such as Azure Fundamentals and Azure Data Fundamentals. - Ability to work in a flexible schedule that combines remote and on-site activities.
Publishing Pay Range: $40.00 – $50.00 Hourly
This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
