We’re seeking a talented Smart Contract Engineer to architect and build the next evolution of CoW Protocol. You’ll join a small, experienced team to innovate on real-world DeFi use cases—from designing secure smart contracts to integrating with top protocols. This role is perfect for engineers who thrive in collaborative, public Git Hub environments and enjoy solving complex, high-impact problems.

• Design, develop, and deploy smart contracts for new protocol features, ensuring seamless integration with off-chain systems.
• Build sophisticated DeFi integrations, including flash loan flows and collaborations with leading wallets and lending markets.
• Contribute to protocol decentralization, verifiable execution, and on-chain order settlement.
• Monitor protocol health, investigate transactions, detect on-chain anomalies, and engage in governance discussions.
• Review external team integrations and support grantees building on CoW Protocol.
• Collaborate remotely through code reviews, async communication, and open-source development practices.

• Experienced in Solidity and EVM-compatible chains, with a strong Git Hub portfolio showcasing collaboration.
• Proficient in Rust (preferred) or Python with a willingness to learn Rust.
• A problem-solver who architects elegant solutions—not quick fixes.
• Comfortable in async, remote environments with excellent written communication skills.
• Curious, ownership-driven, and passionate about iterating on protocol-level challenges.

• Familiarity with major DeFi protocols and ecosystems.
• Contributions to open-source projects.
• Experience in decentralized governance or DAO structures.
