Site Reliability Engineer

The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Site Reliability Engineer for a prominent client. This is a 100% remote role (may require occasional onsite at one of three locations: Mountain View, CA 94041; Culver City, CA 90230; Bellevue, WA 98004).

Pay Rate Range: $75–$83.50/hr (W2)

Assignment Length: 12 months with high possibility of extension.

The Ideal Candidate will have experience with system operations and running large-scale, massively distributed infrastructure.

• Data monitoring and alerting, data quality assurance and anomaly detection.
• Document team processes and policies, including methods of engagement and SLOs.
• Analyze, design, and implement solutions at the system level to remove bottlenecks and improve edge service performance.
• Implement monitoring and alerting to improve issue detection and response.
• Work in a fast‑paced environment, participating in technical operations and rotations in response to performance and reliability issues.
• Participate in on‑call rotations, responsible for resolving or escalating incoming events.
• Maintain and operate a Linux and Kubernetes environment.

• Minimum 5+ years of experience.
• Proven SRE Site Reliability Engineer / Dev Ops Engineer profile for datacenter – experience with system operations and running large‑scale, massively distributed infrastructure.
• Experience with Unix/Linux systems.
• Experience developing and operating one or more of the following systems:
  Open Stack, Kubernetes, Nginx, IP Virtual Server, ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Hadoop, etc.
• Experience reading Python scripts for platform operations preferred.
