This is a remote (within the continental US) work-from-home position that requires frequent travel to the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks.
Responsibilities- Providing exceptional customer service.
- Proficient in utilizing a PC and familiar with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Responding to emergency outages promptly.
- Administration:
Configure, administer, and document custom policies for Network Access Controls. - Security guidelines:
Adhere to strict Information Systems security guidelines in all incidents. - Design:
Analyze, design, and implement network access control solutions based on industry best practices. - Support:
Provide support for Cisco ISE, Firepower, ASA, Fortinet, and Palo Alto firewall engineering, installation, configuration, operation, maintenance, and management. - Collaborating within Operations to resolve end-user and network escalations.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network-related issues.
- Monitoring, investigating, and actioning equipment alarms.
- Collaborating with Boldyn Networks on customer installation activities as required and contributing to project-related tasks as assigned.
- Tracking and updating escalation tickets.
- Ensuring that Boldyn Networks policies and end-user agreement are upheld.
- Assisting in your region as assigned.
- Attending training events.
- Obtaining required certifications.
- Completing additional reporting, documentation, and administrative tasks as required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong Organizational Skills
- Exceptional Customer Service
- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, Solar Winds).
- Familiarity with Cisco networking technologies (routers, switches, firewalls).
- Experience in effectively diagnosing and resolving network outages (layers 1-3)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, PCNSE, CWT, CWNA
- 1-3 years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure
