IT Support, Systems Administrator
We are a leading global manufacturer of electrical interconnects and power distribution solutions. Our North American Headquarters is located in Central New Jersey directly off Route 287 is where we maintain significant “on-time” inventory of electrical interconnects that are produced in our factory in Germany. In addition, we are a UL Listed assembly operation that manufactures portable power distribution, control panels, and power cable assemblies.
Due to our rapid growth and expansion, we are currently seeking a Desktop and Network Support Specialist to provide comprehensive technical support for our office and remote-based staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting to support our IT environment including Desktop Computers, Laptops, Servers, MFA, Printers, Routers, Switches, and other Network Periphals , ensuring reliable day-to-day operations and excellent end-user experience for all staff.
The ideal candidate is hands‑on, organized, and comfortable supporting both hardware and software while working directly with end‑users.
- Provide on‑site and remote support for employees’ IT issues
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems with desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, and peripherals
- Assist users with software applications, logins, and basic IT training
- Respond to IT related problems and prioritize issues based on urgency
- Set up, configure, and deploy new computers, laptops, and mobile devices
- Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting
- Support office LAN and Wi‑Fi connectivity
- Assist with basic network troubleshooting (IP/DNS issues, connectivity/access problems)
- Help maintain routers, switches, access points, and network cabling
- Escalate advanced network issues to senior IT staff or external vendors
- Perform system updates, patches, and routine security checks
- Assist with data backups and basic recovery procedures
- Follow IT security policies and best practices
- Support account management, permissions, and password resets
- Support and partner with existing external 3 rd party vendors such as Internet Service Providers, Telecom Providers, and IT Security Providers.
- Document technical issues, solutions, and procedures
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets and configurations
- Identify opportunities to improve IT processes, reliability, and user experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology or related field
- 4-6 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or office IT roles
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS environments, Microsoft 365, Active Directory
- Experience supporting printers, laptops, desktops, and office hardware
- Strong understanding of OSI networking concepts (LAN, Wi‑Fi, DHCP/Static IP addressing, etc.)
- Experience supporting office VOIP phone systems.
- Occasional after‑hours support for system updates or urgent issues
- Strong customer service, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- May require lifting and moving IT equipment (up to 40 lbs.)
- Microsoft Certified Professional accreditation
- Other IT related certifications or degrees
Annual Salary Range: $75,000-$90,000
