The Network Engineer will be a key member of the Network & Security team which is responsible for the day-to-day operations and architecture of GMO’s global network. GMO currently has two physical data centers as well as multiple Azure cloud-based environments globally. GMO also supports multiple remote office locations globally including London, Sydney & Singapore. This position is based in Boston.

GMO is looking for a skilled senior network & voice professional with experience in network operations, design, and deployment, working on a highly available network infrastructure. The candidate must have strong troubleshooting skills, be able to balance creative solutions with the ability to work within a change-management maintenance environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in deploying and maintaining Cisco based networking, Microsoft & Cisco voice implementations and Azure Cloud Networking.

You must enjoy working as part of a high performing team and be prepared to work outside of usual business hours and in locations outside of the corporate offices supporting our data centers and remote offices, as needed.

• Maintaintheglobalenterprise network including wide area and local area networks as well as IP convergence.
• Maintain our Azurecloudnetworkingenvironmentswhichinclude:
  
  VNET creation&peering,VPN/Express Route Gateways ,and Express Route Circuit implementation and support
• Install andmaintainrouters and switches in various network configurations supporting VLANs,Qos, VoIP, and advanced access-lists.
• Monitor and evaluate the network, make recommendations, and deploy solutions to enhance network performance
• Ensure that network issues arising on a day-to-day operation are identified, reported, and resolvedina timely manner.
