Serve as the Release Manager, overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of releases within the Service Now platform to support NIH/HHS initiatives.
Act as a senior Service Now technical Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing guidance and expertise on release management processes and best practices.
Develop and maintain release schedules, ensuring alignment with project timelines and organizational priorities.
Collaborate with stakeholders across NIH/HHS to define release requirements, manage dependencies, and mitigate risks.
Ensure the successful deployment of Service Now updates, enhancements, and new features, minimizing disruption to operations.
Lead efforts to standardize and optimize release management processes, driving efficiency and consistency across the organization.
Monitor and report on release progress, identifying and resolving issues to ensure timely delivery.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to teams involved in release activities, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
Develop and maintain documentation related to release management, including plans, schedules, and post-release reports.
Stay current with Service Now platform updates, new features, and industry trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
5+ years of relevant experience in release management within Service Now or similar platforms/environments.
Proven expertise as a senior Service Now technical SME, with a deep understanding of platform capabilities, workflows, and integrations.
Strong knowledge of release management processes, tools, and best practices.
Experience managing complex releases in large-scale environments, including planning, coordination, and execution.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Experience working within NIH/HHS environments, with a deep understanding of their processes, policies, and mission.
Ability to develop and maintain detailed documentation, including release plans, schedules, and reports.
Existing Public Trust Clearance or Ability to Obtain an NIH Badge
Service Now certifications, such as Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) or Certified Application Developer (CAD).
Familiarity with ITIL best practices and frameworks.
Experience with Agile or Dev Ops methodologies.
