* Managed Service Provider (MSP Experience Required)
* We are seeking an experienced
* Tier 2 IT Field Technician – Projects & Escalations
* to join our growing Managed Service Provider team. This role serves as a primary escalation point for complex technical issues beyond Level 1 support and plays a key role in delivering client-facing IT projects.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on technical experience in an MSP environment, excels at troubleshooting infrastructure and networking issues, and takes ownership of resolving problems permanently, not just applying temporary fixes.
This position is hybrid, involving both remote work and on-site client visits. Travel is required (company vehicle or mileage reimbursement provided).
* Key Responsibilities
* * Escalation & Advanced Support
* * Serve as the escalation point for Level 1 technicians
* Diagnose and resolve complex issues involving servers, networks, endpoints, and cloud environments
* Perform root-cause analysis and implement long-term solutions
* Ensure proper documentation and clean ticket resolution
* Projects & Implementations
* * Support and execute IT projects including hardware refreshes, server upgrades, migrations, firewall deployments, and cloud implementations
* Configure and deploy infrastructure with minimal client disruption
* Collaborate with senior engineers to meet technical and quality standards
* Infrastructure Administration
* * Administer and troubleshoot Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and Group Policy
* Support Microsoft 365, Azure, and related cloud services
* Manage networking components including VLANs, VPNs, and firewall configurations
* Utilize RMM tools to proactively monitor and maintain client systems
* Client & Team Collaboration
* * Provide professional, clear communication to clients during onsite and remote engagements
* Mentor and support Level 1 technicians as needed
* Contribute to internal documentation and process improvements
* On-Call Support
* * Participate in scheduled on-call rotation
* Provide after-hours support when necessary for critical incidents
* Required Qualifications
* * 5+ years of hands-on IT support experience
* Minimum 2+ years in a Tier 2 or escalation-focused role

* Required:
Prior experience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment
* * Strong experience with:
* Windows Server administration
* Active Directory & Group Policy
* Microsoft 365 & Azure
* Networking fundamentals (VLANs, VPNs, firewall configuration)
* RMM and ticketing systems
* Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
* Excellent communication and client-facing professionalism
* Preferred Certifications (At Least One Recommended)
* * CompTIA Security+
* Microsoft certifications (Azure Administrator AZ-104 or similar)
* Cisco CCNA
* VMware, Sonicwall, or other infrastructure/security certifications
* Work Environment
