- Design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure supporting a large‑scale, high‑availability payments platform, with an initial focus on Google Cloud Platform.
- Implement and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, ensuring modular, reusable, and scalable architectures.
- Partner closely with application engineering teams to define infrastructure requirements, support CI/CD pipelines, and improve deployment workflows.
- Apply security‑first principles across networking, compute, and deployment processes to ensure system integrity, performance, and resilience.
- Automate operational processes to enhance reliability, scalability, and developer experience.
- Establish and continuously improve infrastructure and site reliability engineering best practices across the platform.
- 6+ years of experience building and operating cloud‑native infrastructure in production environments.
- Strong hands‑on expertise with infrastructure as code, container orchestration, and CI/CD systems, including Terraform and Kubernetes.
- Proven experience operating workloads on Google Cloud Platform or other major cloud providers such as AWS or Azure.
- Demonstrated ability to design secure, highly available systems and apply site reliability engineering principles.
- Experience working in fast‑paced, product‑focused teams with a strong emphasis on automation and continuous improvement.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with financial or sensitive data systems, familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Open Telemetry, cloud certifications, and exposure to blockchain or decentralized infrastructure.
